Noonday Collection

Do you enjoy inviting your friends and family over for an evening of wine, snacks, and good conversation?  Do you want to help women around the world earn an income?  Do you enjoy accessorizing your wardrobe with unique pieces that tell a story?  Do you want to help support our adoption of a baby boy from Ethiopia?  Have you heard about the Noonday Collection?

The Noonday Collection was created to connect people with the lives of artisans around the world struggling for a better future.  They use fashion and design as a vehicle for opportunity and change.  By purchasing jewelry and accessories from the Noonday collection you can be a voice for the oppressed.  All of the items are fair-trade and help to provide jobs to women in Ethiopia, the United States, India, Uganda, Peru, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Madagascar and create a pathway out of poverty for their families.

Interested?  Here is how you can help...

My friend Stephanie Nunes, who is also adopting a little boy from Ethiopia, is a Noonday Ambassador and hosts what are called Trunk Shows.  All you have to do is agree to host a show in your home (or mine if you would prefer) in my honor and invite your family and friends.  Stephanie will bring samples and share the story of the Noonday Collection and I will bring the wine and snacks.  A portion of all of the profits from the show will go directly to our adoption fund.  Please click here to view the products offered as a part of the Noonday Collection.  You will see that prices vary, but most items are in the $20-30 range.  I own the earnings pictured below and they were made in Ethiopia from weapons which have been melted down and re-purposed.

We are hoping to submit our dossier before the end of the summer and we are about $2000 away from our fundraising goal.  Please let me know if your would like to schedule a show and help us move one step closer to our baby boy!
